NBA Jam On Fire Edition Review
With physics-defying dunks, players with oversized heads, and the ability to set people on fire, the NBA Jam series is not an authentic take on anything. It is, however, a hell of a lot of fun, especially with a group of friends. With the cancellation of NBA Elite 11 last ye... [read more]
Sonic Generations 3D Review
This video notwithstanding, I have been fairly kind to Sonic the Hedgehog, giving the 3DS version of Sonic Colors a 9, and an 8.5 to Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 . This is partially because I am a newcomer to Sonic’s games, and partially because Sega has been putting a ... [read more]

NBA Jam On Fire Edition Review
With physics-defying dunks, players with oversized heads, and the ability to set people on fire, the NBA Jam series is not an authentic take on anything. It is, however, a hell of a lot of fun, especially with a group of friends. With the cancellation of NBA Elite 11 last year, the previously downloadable-bonus-only NBA Jam quickly became EA Sports’ only basketball title upon its release in November 2010. Luckily for EA, the game received strong reviews and decent sales, and has now returned in the form of NBA Jam: On Fire Edition

Sonic CD Review
Sonic CD has attained an almost legendary status over the years as one of the most underplayed Sonic The Hedgehog games in existence. It had an unfortunate release on a failed expansion kit; the dismal Sega CD attachment for the Sega Genesis, and has only been re-released two times since, on the PC and on the Gamecube, respectively. Now that it has finally been released, is it a spin dash across the finish line?

Joe Danger: Special Edition Review
I think someone at Hello Games must have caught themselves looking out into the distance reliving their own childhood dreams of jumping the Grand Canyon in a Jet Powered Motorbike when they came across the idea for Joe Danger. War of the Worlds Review
War of the Worlds is one of the earliest and best-known science fiction novels to be written, having been published in 1898. With the original novel, an infamous 1938 radio adaptation, a concept album by Jeff Wayne and numerous film adaptations, War of the Worlds is a classic example of a timeless story. Other Ocean Interactive, developers of a new adaptation for Xbox Live, have decided to skip out on the well-known narrative, and have instead introduced a new story, new characters and new locations into their game, although the events do run parallel to what occurs in the book.

Sega Bass Fishing Review
Much like golf, darts, or ten-pin bowling, fishing is one of those activities which will always be at the centre of a debate of what is the difference between a sport and a pastime. However, in similar fashion to the Cabela hunting games, Sega Bass Fishing is classified by gaming standards as lying in the sports genre, so I guess that’s one strike for the fishing purists out there.

Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone Review
Zombies to the left of me, zombies to the right of me, zombies above, and zombies below. It would appear that over the years the dreaded zombie outbreak that has been depicted in oh-so-many deliciously atrocious B movies have surreptitiously invaded the world of the video game.

Grease Review
Grease needs no explanation, since it’s the forefather of the high school musicals that have been springing up as of late. With its lively cast of characters, catchy and iconic musical numbers, turning Grease into a dance game seemed like a good idea. But in a sea of widely popular dance games, can Grease make itself the highlight of the sock hop?

Toys and video games often go hand in hand with each other. Be it figures from the game or well known toys getting their own video game, these are the two things that everyone one likes. Forza Motorsport 4 is, as the name might suggest, the 4th title in Turn 10 Studios’ Xbox exclusive racing series that was established back in ye olde original Xbox days. The franchise is placed to be Microsoft’s direct competitor to Sony’s even older Gran Turismo franchise and over its iterations has surpassed them in quality, if not in quantity sold.

Dungeon Defenders Review
Trendy Entertainment is a name that only a few of you may be familiar with, as they are a relatively new addition to the development scene, but their first game, Dungeon Defenders, sits comfortably within a genre which I’m sure by now many of us are approaching over-familiarity with: Tower Defence. Dungeon Defenders attempts to break the mould a little, however, but placing the focus firmly on co-op, and creating an almost Tower Defence/Dungeon Crawler hybrid.

Space Channel 5 Part 2 Review
Space Channel 5 Part 2, originally released for the SEGA Dreamcast, was one of the first games focused solely on dancing and rhythm, although input was done directly through the controller, rather than an additional peripheral such as a dancer pad, guitar controller or Kinect. Channel 5 focuses on the adventures of Ulala, a reporter for the titular Space Channel 5’s news channel. Ulala has to fight the Rhythm Rogues, a group of interstellar terrorists led by Shadow and Purge, and must rescue their many hostages, through what else, the medium of dance!
