5 Xbox 360 Disappointments of 2011
2011 was a great year for gaming with some brilliant AAA titles releasing seemingly every month. Some people are even proclaiming 2011 as the best year in gaming history but for me, there were a lot of titles that either didn’t deliver on what was promised or that failed t... [read more]

NBA Jam On Fire Edition Review
With physics-defying dunks, players with oversized heads, and the ability to set people on fire, the NBA Jam series is not an authentic take on anything. It is, however, a hell of a lot of fun, especially with a group of friends. With the cancellation of NBA Elite 11 last ye... [read more]
Sonic Generations 3D Review
This video notwithstanding, I have been fairly kind to Sonic the Hedgehog, giving the 3DS version of Sonic Colors a 9, and an 8.5 to Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 . This is partially because I am a newcomer to Sonic’s games, and partially because Sega has been putting a ... [read more]

Crazy Escape Review
Bulkypix seems to be one of the more heavily focused developers on this site, although their previous releases haven’t exactly set the world on fire. Their search for pick-up-and-play gold on the iPhone continues with Crazy Escape, which tasks players with rescuing loose sheep from wolves whilst driving a jeep with two penguins behind the wheel.

Swords and Soldiers Review
Originally released on the Wii back in 2009, Swords and Soldiers has done the rounds, seeing releases on PSN and PC before finding its way into the palm of your hand. Featuring three different playable races, Vikings, Aztecs and Chinese, each with their own campaign and individual strengths, is Swords and Soldiers a worthwhile purchase for your general-on-the-go?

Paper Wars: Cannon Fodder Review
Paper Wars: Cannon Fodder was originally released as a PSP Mini title, accompanied by the ‘humorous’ marketing tactic of labelling it as the ‘worst game ever’. Unfortunately for developer iFun4All!, Cannon Fodder doesn’t quite sink as low as E.T. or Superman 64 but instead plods along in a rather mediocre fashion like one of the many soldiers in this game that you are tasked with killing.

3D Twist and Match Review
Developers are still aware that done correctly, a game with a single hook can still keep a player entertained for hours upon hours. Bulkypix are attempting to tap into the latter market with their new release, 3D Twist & Match, which sees players rotating, flipping and shifting objects in an attempt to match them to a set outline. Does the game make you feel like a skilled manipulator, or more like you’re trying to fit a square peg into a round hole?

For those of you old enough to remember Lemmings, Aqua Panic! will bring back fond memories. For those of you that don’t, you should know that Aqua Panic! tasks you with the objective of safely guiding one-hundred hapless fish (per level) from the top of the screen to the bottom, while avoiding various predators along the way, and ensuring that the fish end up in a safe area marked by two flags upon their return to the ocean.

Robin Hood: Archer of the Woods Review
Robin Hood: Archer of the Woods is a game that, a few years ago, would have been fine for the cell-phone video-gaming scene, and would most likely have been lauded for its presentation and gameplay. Sadly for this game, the few years that have passed have seen the rise of the smartphone, specifically the iPhone and Android-based phones, and with that comes the raising of mobile gamers’ expectations of what a game on their phone should be able to do.

Zombie Escape is the latest in a batch of line-drawing games for the iPhone, this time featuring everyone’s favorite enemies (aside from Nazis) zombies! Set in various locations around a city infected with a zombie virus, players are tasked with leading those few survivors not infected to helicopters waiting to shuttle them to safety.
