The first episode of five in The Walking Dead game series has sold one million episodes in the first two weeks of its release. Telltale’s fastest-selling series to date, the episode titled “A New Day” has reached the status of number one bestselling title on Xbox Live for two weeks straight. The game has received a Gold Award from PlayStation: The Official Magazine, as well as Editor’s Choice from IGN.com, PC Gamer, and Official Xbox Magazine, and we gave it an 8.5. It has also been praised by MTV News and the New York Times.
The Walking Dead game series takes place in the world of Robert Kirkman’s comic book series where the world has been devastated by the undead. Gamers play as Lee Everett, a man convicted of murder before the start of the game. He is given a chance for redemption in this new world as players meet new as well as familiar characters from the comic, complete with foreshadowing and life-changing events.
The game is completely adapted to player’s choice, as the choices made will either play out immediately, in the next episode, or even later in the story. Every game is different depending on the choices the gamer has made.
