"Leaked" audio recording for Metal Gear Rising Revengeance
Posted on May 09, 2012 by MikeV

The marking campaign for Metal Gear Rising Revengeance just got even more mysterious and strange as a new video has been release. Well, more like an audio recording, here’s the “trailer” with the audio recording:

Here we are presented a private message from Colorado Senator Stephen Armstrong to his speech writer by a mysterious website known as WarOnOurShores.com. Senator Armstrong discusses how his writer “understands” him and what really matters. Filters, information control, it doesn’t matter to the average joe as long as the proper spin is applied to pass the blame to someone else. He states that people don’t really care and only see what they want to see. Then he goes off on something about a grand jury and Desperado, which is probably some kind of incident that happened. After which he adds that people think that money can solve all the problems and that they need to bring back what made America great, reclaim the American dream. Before he ends the message he states that this is something that the Tea Party members don’t understand and that he and his party are the true sons of liberty. A lot of cryptic clues are given in this message to what themes MGRR will have. Clue that were mentioned in the audio recording were the following: controlling the flow of information (MGS2), putting spin to pin the blame on someone else (MGS3) and the use of money to make things better (MGS4). To end the clues, the phrase Sons of Liberty was mentioned. This could an allusion to the terrorist group from MGS2. For a game that isn’t being handled by Kojima personally, MGR sure does have a lot of hidden messages that Kojima would be proud of. We’ll just have to wait till E3 next month to see what the payoff these trailers are leading to.

Is crowd funding the way of the future?

Absolutely. It gives power to the gamers by letting them pay for the games they want to see.
Nope. Crowd sourcing will be fine for a year or two until too many developers do not follow through with their games and waste our money.
