EA to kill Rock Band for iPhone on May 31st

UPDATE: According to EA, the message was sent in error, Rock Band for iPhone is NOT going offline.
I'm beginning to wonder if EA is starting to embrace its title as "Worst Company in America." According to The Consumerist, EA's Rock Band app for the iPhone is scheduled to go offline at the end of this month. A cheery notification has popped up in the app that says "On May 31, ROCK BAND will no longer be playable on your device. Thanks for rocking out with us!"
According to the article, the app does not require a server connection to play, so the reasoning behind killing the app is unknown at this time. If you just purchased the Rock Band app, you may be able to get a refund, click the link for details.
