The concrete jungle becomes actual jungle in Crysis 3
Posted on April 24, 2012 by Paige Carlson

New York City is in ruins, split into seven different environments - the Seven Wonders - and contained by the Liberty Dome courtesy of the corrupted Cell Corporation. Crytek gives gamers a taste of their advanced visuals created by their CryENGINE 3 technology through anewly released gameplay trailer for their 2013 title Crysis 3.

A dynamic first person shooter, this sandbox-style game emphasizes player’s choice. The story has Prophet return to New York City, or what was once New York City, alone. The city has been destroyed, reclaimed by nature, and infested with creatures and aliens. All the while a secret military organization hides truths.

Prophet’s goal is to take back the city and take down the Cell Corporation, all while battling the alien threat. Normal weapons wouldnot stand a chance. Luckily for Prophet, his suit is all that is needed. With revenge as motivation, Crysis 3 has players navigate through the ruins of New York, deciding which tactic is best for which environment. Twenty years after Crysis 2, Prophet is armed with a composite bow, a super advanced nanosuit, and alien technology. Nothing is going to stop him.

Is crowd funding the way of the future?

Absolutely. It gives power to the gamers by letting them pay for the games they want to see.
Nope. Crowd sourcing will be fine for a year or two until too many developers do not follow through with their games and waste our money.
