Celebrate 25 years of Final Fantasy with music and a stylus

Square Enix has recently released information about the pre-order bonus for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. Celebrating 25 years of Final Fantasy games, players will receive a Final Fantasy-themed gripped stylus as well as a sheet of seventeen stickers. The sticker set will feature classic characters such as Cloud, Moogle, Lightning, Chocobo, Tidus, Terra, Squall and more.

Theatrhythm is a rhythm game with over 70 songs from all of the previous Final Fantasy games. Both old and new characters take on a new form, miniaturized by the Japanese designer, Monster Octopus.  With the rhythmic taps of the stylus the player will explore fields, battle memorable enemies, and will be able to visit key events.

The game is set to be released in North America on July 3, 2012.

SQUARE ENIX REVEALS PRE-ORDER DETAILS FOR THEATRHYTHM FINAL FANTASY


THEATRHYTHM FINAL FANTASY-Themed Gripped Stylus Available for North American Pre-Order Customers

 

LOS ANGELES (April 19, 2012) – Square Enix, Inc., the publishers of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in the Americas, today announced a pre-order offer for THEATRHYTHM™ FINAL FANTASY® for the Nintendo 3DSÔ hand-held system. North American customers who pre-order the game will receive one gripped stylus while supplies last. Players can customize the game-themed accessory with 17 stickers that feature the FINAL FANTASY franchise’s most popular characters including: Cloud, Moogle, Lightning, Chocobo, Tidus, Cecil, Terra and Squall.

 

Adorably redesigned heroes from the catalogue of FINAL FANTASY titles set out on an adventure to combat memorable villains with the rhythmic taps of the player’s stylus. THEATRHYTHM FINAL FANTASY features over 70 musical scores spanning 25 years of the FINAL FANTASY franchise, and features music from key events, lush field themes and decisive battle arrangements. The game is set for release on July 3 for Nintendo 3DS.

 

THEATRHYTHM FINAL FANTASY is rated E10+ (Everyone 10 and older). Please visit the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) website at www.esrb.org for more information about ratings.

Is crowd funding the way of the future?

Absolutely. It gives power to the gamers by letting them pay for the games they want to see.
Nope. Crowd sourcing will be fine for a year or two until too many developers do not follow through with their games and waste our money.
