Namco Bandai has finally, and officially, announced that Dark Souls will become to the PC as Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition. The PC version will be (hopefully) addressing the frame rate issues that the console versions of the game encountered. and include new weapons, improved matchmaking, a new area to explore and will throw in new bosses as seen in the trailer that has been released:
There is. however. some cause of concern from PC gamers that they have mentioned. Dark Souls will be shipped as part of the Games for Windows Live brand. It seems that PC gamers have some contempt for the GFWL service as it has been reported that game saves have been corrupted or deleted along with other reported issues. No word if Namco Bandai will release the game to other streaming services. Until then, PC gamers will finally have the chance to die over and over again when it game comes out August 24.
