Nominees for the AIAS 15th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards released
Posted on January 12, 2012 by OG

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AISAS) has released the finalists for the 15th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards today.  Known as the “Academy Awards for video games,” nominees are selected by individuals within the industry in a variety of categories.  Leading the nominations this year is Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception with twelve nominations, followed by Portal 2 with ten, L.A. Noire with nine, and six nominations for Batman: Arkham City, Battlefield 3, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

After the debacle known as the Spike VGAs, my hope is that gamers tune-in to the live stream of the event to show their support for quality awards shows instead of the schlock from Spike TV.  The event will be steamed by Gamespot.com on February 9th from the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas during the 2012 D.I.C.E. Summit, and will be hosted again by comedian Jay Mohr.  Check out the official site for the full list of categories and nominations.

What did you think of the Mass Effect 3 ending?

It was the right ending for the game, I don't understand all the bitching going on.
The ending was appalling, and Bioware should change it or admit they're wrongdoings.
