TGS 2011: Kojima explains TrasnFaring and shows off ZOE HD trailer
Posted on September 14, 2011 by MikeV

Up next was Konami for Sony's conference and who better to get people hyped for a series by having none other than Hideo Kojima. Kojima went on to explain a bit more on the TranFaring concept that he revealed E3 2011. Now for those who don't remember, TransFaring is the concept of taking the game save of the console version of a game, in this case Peace Walker, and transferring it to the PSP version of the game. Now as soon you load up the save file, you can keep advancing through the game. Once home, you take the save file from the PSP, transfer it into the PS3 and are able to resume where you left off in the PSP version of the game. This step between the PSP and PS3 version of Peace Walker is know as step one.

Step 2 of TransFaring is the transfering of save data between the Vita and PS3. The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (MGS1 & MGS2) is this concepts example of it. Meaning that there will be a Vita version of the two games. The ZOE HD collection is also apart of step 2, with an announcement trailer for the collection and for the Vita version of the collection:

Part 3 is still shrouded in mystery, but did share that both the Vita and PS3 versions of the new game he is working will be released simultaneously using the newly developed FOX Engine. Still now word on Metal Gear Rising or if it even is going to come out. Either way these two HD collection are a great enough distraction till his new game comes out.

Is crowd funding the way of the future?

Absolutely. It gives power to the gamers by letting them pay for the games they want to see.
Nope. Crowd sourcing will be fine for a year or two until too many developers do not follow through with their games and waste our money.
