Looks like all major retail stores are really trying to get the attention of gamers and non-gamers alike this year with all the sales going on. While Best Buy deals look like the best in terms of software, Wal-Mart shows why they are known for rolling back prices even during Black Friday with their range of titles on sale. K-Mart (although nonexistent in San Antonio) is no slouch either when marking down prices. The weakest of the bunch looks to be Toys R Us, since they deal mainly with toys, but with buying one game and getting the second one for $5 isn’t bad either. Like with the last two Black Friday posts, here’s some advice: call ahead to see if the item you want is in stock, bring at least $100 to $200 more than what you plan to spend, and of course get in line early to get first pick.

Is crowd funding the way of the future?

Absolutely. It gives power to the gamers by letting them pay for the games they want to see.
Nope. Crowd sourcing will be fine for a year or two until too many developers do not follow through with their games and waste our money.
