NIS America Announces Cladun: This is an RPG
Posted on September 06, 2010 by OG

NIS America, subsidiary of Nippon Ichi Software, known for the unique anime inspired video games from Japan, today has announced a new RPG exclusive on the PSN for the PSP. The new game, Cladun: This is an RPG, is a classic-retro inspired dungeon crawler that has the look of a 16-bit game of the 90’s. Players are able to either play as one of the many main characters in the story or, with the help the game graphics editor, can create their very own hero to adventure with.

At first, Cladun seems like any typical RPG style dungeon crawler, but its extensive features separate it from its peers. Cladun boast a powerful 16-bit style graphics editor for character creation. This allows players to custom create their adventures anyway they want, pixel by pixel. Another unique feature is supporting units. Up to 4 supporting units can be assigned to the player’s team and depending on the characters chosen; they directly affect the stats of the main character. For example if all 4 support units are warriors, then the main character’s strength stat will go up. If there’s a mix of mages in the team, then magic will be altered. There’s no end to the teams that the player can create and use.

Then there are the dungeons of Cladun. Each dungeon has 99 levels to explore and conquer, add in the game’s ablity to randomly generate the layout each time, and players are given infinite replay value.

Cladun: This is an RPG will be released on the PSN on September 21, 2010. The way that this game is shaping up to be, NIS America has a possible hit on their hands.

How has your Diablo III experience been so far?

Absolutely horrible with all the lag, Error 37s, and server downtime. Screw you Blizzard for making me wait so long for this.
Started off bad, but I've been having a lot of fun with it.
They made a new Diablo?
