Afterfall: Insanity Review
Afterfall: Insanity was distributed based on an interesting premise; if it managed to pick up ten million pre-orders, all worth only a single dollar, the developers of Intoxicate Studios promised to donate ten percent of that to charity. Understandably, and as far as I have been able to tell, they did not reach this goal. And while the game is certainly worth the original one dollar they were asking for, I can't honestly say that I would be willing to pay much more than that.

Drawing inspiration from the classic title Dungeon Keeper while trying to be a game all of its own, Impire promises some of the best. As an RTS title, it's a little bit away from Paradox's safe turn-based monopoly, which makes a bit hesitant.

The AssKickers Review
The side scrolling beat ‘em up is an oft-forgotten genre, but it has been getting some attention in the last couple of years. Having a fondness for indie games, I was eager to give it a shot. With many fond memories of games like Streets of Rage sitting in the back of my mind, I always welcome a new addition to the genre, and was excited to see what The Asskickers had to offer.

Tower Wars Review
While Tower Defense games have been around for the last two decades or so, very few have pushed past player-versus-computer gameplay. With the main premise behind most tower defense titles being the building of mazes that stop waves of enemies from making it from point A to point B, SuperVillian Studios has put their own spin on the traditional gameplay with Tower Wars, a player versus player tower defense game.

Of Orcs and Men Review
Traditional role-playing games have always contrasted from the fantasy era of literature with goblins and orcs. Some of the greatest stories ever told have been through that medieval fantasy of a world riddled with wars between human, orcs, goblins & elves but Of Orcs and Men just stands as another title in the genre.

If you’re looking to waste some time killing zombies and have completely lost all patience with Zoey’s refusal to take off that hoodie in any appearance she has made post-L4D (like it’s really cold in the south, seriously) then logon to Steam and check out Killing Floor. Be warned, however, you will face an even smaller plot, even more characters that you don’t develop any affinity for and the least eloquent British accents you could possibly imagine.

Hitman: Absolution Review
There were few people I knew who were more excited for Hitman: Absolution than myself. Admittedly, I've been pretty scared of what IO Interactive has to offer since the trainwreck that was Kane & Lynch 2. Suffice it to say I was guarded when I stepped in the world of Hitman once again.

Air Buccaneers is one of the most unique games to come out this year. As a game, it's has me on the edge. Chances are, it's just another indie game that is too obscure to be enjoyable, but that doesn't mean we're not going to try and review it.

Mutant Mudds Review
Mutant Mudds had a bit of a problematic development, first appearing at the 2009 E3 under the name Maximilian and the Rise of the Mutant Mudds as a third person shooter. Unfortunately when the title did not garner enough publisher attention the game was scrapped. The game resurfaced in late 2010 when it tried to find 1,000 fans in order to justify its release on the Nintendo DSi. Finally, Mutant Mudds was created in the form we see it now and after being pushed back by holidays and waiting for approval, it finally entered the system. But has the title managed to survive its long and problematic journey?

The Showdown Effect Review
The Showdown Effect is the result of pitching together a group of action movies from the 80s and 90s and forcing them to brawl it out with weapons from their respective universes ranging from the deadly frying pan to the feeble lightsaber. It is as intense and action packed as it is ridiculous, with backflips and wall clinging featuring heavily in the game.
