Xbox One is the big seller in December

The NPD has released their sales numbers today, and it appears that the Xbox One came out on top for the month of December with 908,000 units sold.

Although Microsoft sold the most Xbox Ones and sold plenty of Xbox 360s (643,000), Sony is still claiming that they are in the lead when it comes to next gen sales but no numbers for the month were given. In the end, however, the 3DS outsold all other hardware with close to a million units sold. Other good news for Nintendo is that the Wii U had a strong month with 460,000 sold.

As for software, Call of Duty:  Ghosts took the lead which should be no surprise to anyone. For 2013, however, Grand Theft Auto V ended up being the biggest selling game.
