Richard Garriott turns to Kickstarter to fund Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues

Many of the video game industry's legendary designers have been turning to Kickstarter to fund games that not only do they want to create but what the fans want as well. From Tim Schafer of Double Fine to Peter Molyneux of 22Cans, these developers are able to create a game that they've always wanted thanks to Kickstarter. Now another legend is turning to Kickstarter. Richard Garriott, or as he is known by the hardcore RPG gamers as Lord British, is using Kickstarter to fun his newest game Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues:

The Kickstarter just launched this weekend and it's already half way to its million dollar goal.
