There are two things that you can count on Nintendo having for any of their consoles: very strong first party support and the extremely popular Dragon Quest series of games. It’s been about a five years that the MMORPG Dragon Quest X: Mezameshi Itsutsu no Shuzoku Online (Rise of the Five Tribes Online) was announced for the Wii and the Wii U. The game has released on the Wii back in August 2012 and saw very positive reviews and sold over 600k at the end of 2012. There hasn’t much information as to when the Wii U version of the game would ship until a press release posted by SE on the Dragon Quest X website.
The Wii U version of the game has solid release date finally. Dragon Quest X will be released in Japan on March 30, 2013. But before that, much like the Wii version, a beta test will begin to test out the servers. The beta will start on March 6. For those who participate in the beta will receive special limited edition in game items to use. As to if the game will release in the West, or in the US for that matter, I’ll say this: Did the Wii version make it over?
