After the thrilling conclusion of Batman Arkham City, many wondered if this was the Batman's last call? Now that order has been restored what's next for the franchise? WB's CFO and chief administrative officer John K Martin gave that answer today in an investor call; there will be another Batman game sometime in 2013, most likely Fall or Winter. This is what Mr. Martin said during the call for investors:
"And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise. So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013. And with a little luck, the year should be as good or maybe even a little bit better than 2012."
Now for the big question: How will this be carried out? We all know the ending to Arkham City, with a major iconic villain out of the picture who would be next to face Batman? Or will it be a prequel to Arkham Asylum? There were even rumors at one point saying that a golden/silver age Batman game was being considered. Whatever the case may be, hopefully there will be a reveal either at E3 2013 or at San Diego Comic Con 2013.
