Celebrities discuss Injustice Battle Arena pairings, no contest for Kevin Smith
Posted on February 07, 2013 by Oscar Gonzalez

Injustice: Gods Among Us is NetherRealm Studios newest and highest profile game in development, an adventurous new fighting franchise that promises to mix some of our most favourite DC comic heroes such as Batman, Superman and Harley Quinn with a deep and unique storyline. A title such as this was always going to cause some arguments and Warner Brothers have released their first round of videos with celebrity experts discussing the first two pairs of combatants, Batman vs. Bane and Harley Quinn vs. Wonder Woman.

Pioneering these debates are Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, the comic duo that gave us Jay and Silent Bob. Before the analysis has even begun it seems clear to Kevin Smith who would win in both of these stand offs, with Jason spending some time bouncing questions off of his partner in terms of the use of utilities and the use of psychological techniques.

Comedian Wayne Brady and the voice of Harley Quinn, Tara Strong, throw in some of their notions about the fights. The two instantly realise that they have very different ideas about the Quinn vs. Wonder Woman fiasco and raise opposing, yet valid, points about their favourite and spend the interview arguing over who will come out on top, neither managing to convince the other to switch views.

In the final video, the voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy, also joins the fray and explains his concerns about the enemy of his voice. He spends some time deliberating over the sheer strength of Bane and his intelligence, as well as Banes past canon confrontations with Batman and whether Batman can overcome these advantages. Kevin Conroy spends a while contemplating the Harley Quinn vs. Wonder Woman matchup and is almost overcome by Harley’s insanity claiming it to be hugely in her favour, also mentioning the toys she has compared with Wonder Woman’s advantages, such as her ability to fly and indestructible bracelets and lasso of truth.

This is the first round of matchups and we will be receiving many more from the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment as the weeks progress before the release of Injustice on the 16th of April.
