3DS Animal Crossing coming to Korea next week, US release Q2 2013
Posted on February 02, 2013 by Drew Bergmark

Released in November last year in Japan, Animal Crossing: New Leaf is one of the most popular titles for Nintendo's newest handheld. About thirty minutes ago, translator Dan Koopman linked a YouTube video that was in Korean and explained that the new Animal Crossing would be coming out on February 7th in South Korea. In Japan over the two months it was out, the game sold over 2.7 million times according to last week's earnings report.

The real question is when we'll be seeing the American release. We haven't heard anything since September about the North America so your guess is as good as mine other than President Iwata said there won't be any major releases until the summer so perhaps May or June. For those in Europe and Australia, you'll probably get it within the same week as those on the other side of the world. We'll keep you up to date on information we find out. Check out the Korean trailer below.

Update: I changed the game sales number from 273 million to the correct number of 2.7 million.

What do you think of #Gamergate?

There's a problem in the industry that is being covered up by those with the loudest voices.
It's nothing but a bunch of misogynists hating that women are talking about games.
Can't we all just get along?
