Southington SOS cancels 'violent video game return'
Posted on January 09, 2013 by Drew Bergmark

With only three days before the event, Southington SOS cancelled their planned collection of violent media. The collection would have allowed individuals of the community to trade in from one or more video games, movies or CDs for a $25 voucher as a "token of appreciation for their action of responsible citizenship". This morning, a collection of representatives of Southington SOS came together for a press conference at Southington's town hall to officially cancel the event. I've been attempting to get into contact with the group now for almost a week with no response and I'm guessing that I wasn't the only so this might explain why the event was cancelled: unexpected pressure from the rest of the world.
