The Secret World drops subscription fees
Posted on December 12, 2012 by Oscar Gonzalez

Funcom's The Secret World was originally released in July where it was met with some generally positive reviews and a bit of excitement from MMO gamers who were looking for a game that was a bit different than the typical MMORPG.  However, the game didn't have the sales they had hoped for and appeared to be just another failed MMO.

Funcom announced today that they have removed the subscription from Secret World allowing anyone with the game to play it without a monthly fee.  Those that want a few extra perks can purchase the Membership option which will provide some exclusive in-game items and other extras that are explained on the official forums

The Secret World is currently $30 and can be purchased at TheSecretWorld.com.  You can also see all
