Arc System Works announce BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma at SBO
Posted on August 05, 2012 by MikeV

Even though SBO was all about the best of the best players duking it out in various fighting games, there were some video game reveals. One of those reveals came from Arc System Works, the developers of Guilty Gear, BlazBlue and the upcoming Persona 4: Arena. They announced the latest game in the BlazBlue series, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma. Now before you start shouting "OMGZ ARC IZ NOW CRAPCOM  SUXZ!1!1" this isn't like CS Extend. Chrono Phantasma is basically BB III. Chrono Phantasma boasts three brand new characters, new system balances and other such as the following:

There’s reportedly a lot that’s been changed in the game. The neutral poses have been redrawn for all the characters, and their costumes are even different. Of course they also have new moves.

Noel has a different weapon and she doesn’t wear a cap this time.

Tsubaki seems to be the version that’s fallen to the dark side.

Hazama has a new DD

The BGMs seems to be different as well

Three new characters will be added in: Amane, Barret(Bullet?), Azrael. Amane fights with something like a cloth, Barret looks a bit like Makoto, Azrael is muscular.

In addition to the above notes, Arc System Works also released a trailer to the game:

There is no set release date on Chrono Phantasma but per Arc System standards, the game will come out in the arcades first then to consoles at a later time.

What do you think about EA making Star Wars games?

If they get the right studios working on the games, they can be great!
I'll wait and see what they do with the franchise.
They're going to screw it worse than George Lucas screwed up the prequels!
