Posted on July 31, 2012 by Oscar Gonzalez

Multiple players in the U.S. have begun their journey to Japan to compete in one of the most prestigious tournament in the world, Tougeki Super Battle Opera(SBO).  One player who's there for support and business is Arcade UFO owner, and three time guest on the podcast, Ryan "Fubarduck" Harvey.  Harvey tweeted that the Tougeki schedule shows Capcom has scheduled an announcement of a new title for Sunday Aug. 5th.

The most likely game would be a new Darkstalkers as Street Fighter Producer Yoshinori Ono has hinted at a new one being made along with Capcom filing new trademarks for the game

Tougeki Super Battle Opera is long running tournament that requires players to win qualifiers in local arcade in a select group of fighting games.  This year, U.S. qualifiers took place in Austin at Arcade UFO and L.A. at Super Arcade.  New for 2012 is the inclusion of two console only fighting games, Soul Calibur V and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
