Big changes are happening in Diablo III today. Up first was the banning of several thousand players that violated the Battle.net Terms of Use by either cheating, botting, hacking, glitching, exploiting, or simply making the game less fun for other players.
Why the big purge all the sudden? Well only a few hours later, Blizzard announced that the Real-Money Auction House is now open for business. The RMAH is Blizzard's answer to the black market of items and characters that occurred with Diablo II by making it legal, allowing player to sell their loot for real money with Blizzard taking a cut from each transaction. Right now, the RMAH is only available for regions with the U.S. dollar, Australian dollar, and Mexican peso with only items available for sale. Other regions will open up after time as well as other commodities for sale.
To find out how to start selling your wares for money, head to Battle.net for all the details.
