Horsing Around: Mounted Combat in Skyrim 1.6 Update
Posted on May 24, 2012 by Paige Carlson

Bethseda Game Studios recently announced a new addition to their popular action-roleplaying game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. In the latest update, not only have the developers fixed various bugs such as the bow damages that were being calculated incorrectly, but they have also added mounted combat. Players can now use melee weapons as well as ranged combat from horseback.

Very much like their previous additions, such as the Kinect Support and the kill cameras, this new update is completely free. For those who are on the PC version, simply opt into the latest Steam Beta Update to get the added feature right now. However, developers are not sure when the feature will be released for other platforms. Bethseda has also confirmed that they are still working on the first add-on for Skyrim titled Dawnguard, as well as free updates and mods.
