Rumor: Day 1 DLC for Street Fighter X Tekken will have characters, cheats, and gems
Posted on January 31, 2012 by Carey

A rumor popped up today on the internets that there will be Day 1 DLC for Street Figther X Tekken.  The DLC will be a mix of characters (Cody, Guy, Christie, Leo), new gems, outfits, and unlockable content.  All of this is quite surprising, but then again, there was a reason Capcom won our OG award for company we lost the most respect for.  The DLC characters are a pain to see available on the release date.  They could have easily waited a few weeks, let players get the feel of the game and then put the characters out there.  A big concern is the gem pack which could potentially give those that have the pack an advantage over those who don't.  Then there's the paying to unlock stuff rather than unlocking them yourself.  Truly for the lazy, and similar to the "pay for cheat codes" DLC they did for Dead Rising 2:  Off the Record. Here's a list of the content and prices:

Boost Gem Pack 1 – $2.99

Includes 9 new gems to equip to your characters.

Boost Gem Pack 2 – $2.99
Includes 9 new gems to equip to your characters.

Color Edit Pack 1 – FREE
Includes 4 new colors to use in the Color Edit mode.

Costume Swap S Pack – $9.99
Includes a new costume for each of the Street Fighter characters, based on a Tekken character.

Costume Swap T Pack – $9.99
Includes a new costume for each of the Tekken characters, based on a Street Fighter character.

Costume Swap X Pack – $15.99
A combination of the S Pack and T Pack – Includes new costumes for each character, based on characters from the opposite series.

New Challengers Pack – $7.99
Adds 4 new characters to the game: Cody, Guy, Christie and Leo.

X Unlocker – $4.99
Unlocks two secret characters, Akuma and Ogre, as well as all additional character colors and special modes without having to perform the in-game tasks to unlock them.

This is still a rumor as nothing can be confirmed right now.  We could be owing Capcom a big apology if this is wrong, but considering their track record as of late, who knows?

Are you excited for The Elder Scrolls Online

Yes because I'm a big fan of The Elder Scrolls and can't wait to see the huge world of Tamriel
No because I'm a big fan of The Elder Scrolls and the idea of a MMORPG version of the game sounds horrible.
