Sony announces Welcome Back package

Now that the Playstation Network is (partially) back online and PS3 and PSP owners are once again enjoying online gaming, Sony has revealed via its Playstaion Blog the details of their "Welcome Back" packages for North American users. According to the post, it is

"...an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!"

All PS3 Playstation Network customers will be able to pick two of the following games: Dead Nation, inFAMOUS, LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust HD, and Wipeout HD + Fury. PSP Playstation Network customers get to choose two of these games: LittleBigPlanet (PSP), ModNation Racers, Pursuit Force, and Killzone Liberation.

In addition to the free games, Sony will be providing a free weekend of select movie rentals (titles to be announced) and 30 days of free access to Playstation Plus for non-Plus customers. Customers already paying for Playstation Plus will get 60 free days. Subscribers to Music Unlimited will also get 30 free days.

The "Welcome Back" items will be made available once the Playstation Network is up to full operation. Details for customers in Latin America and Europe can be found at their respective blogs.
