Sony Confirms Ico/Shadow of the Colossus HD and The Last Guardian
Posted on September 16, 2010 by Oscar Gonzalez

After all the months of teases about the HD rereleases of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, combined with last week’s announcement of the Last Guardian making an appearance at TGS this week, Team ICO and Sony Japan have finally made an official announcement about the games.

Today at Sony’s TGS press conference, Team ICO head Fumito Ueda went on stage and revealed that Last Guardian and the HD rereleases of ICO/Shadow of the Colossus will be finally getting release dates.

Starting with the HD ICO/Shadow of the Colossus collection, all that Ueda would say about the two is that they will be out sometime in Spring 2011. The two games will have full HD compatibility, Trophy support and 3D compatibility. When the two games first came out, they looked amazing, now after watching the trailer, its hard to believe that these games are from the last generation PS2 The Last Guardian was the main attraction of Ueda presentation as its been almost four years since it was first announced at E3 2006. Not wanting to keep the press and fans waiting any longer, he showed off a trailer of the game which depicts real time gameplay between the protagonist and his giant animal companion thing. Watching the trailer and seeing how amazing it looks in action easily makes the wait worth it. The end of the trailer gives a release date of Holiday 2011. If this is the case, hopefully it will be at E3 2011.

Both the Last Guardian and the HD releases might be Sony’s most anticipated titles coming out of this year’s TGS so far. I for one cannot wait to be able to play these titles in the coming year.

What do you think of Hatred?

It's a horrible game that no one should play!
I don't care for it, but it should be available for people to play.
it looks interesting, I may check it out.
O-M-G THIS IS THE GAME I'VE BEEN DREAMING OF!
