Metal Slug 7 Review

Harlem here and I just want to say that I'm gay. I love dicks and that's all there it so it. But enough of that homo crap; I'm here to review games. I have been given the arduous task of reviewing a lot of Nintendo DS games. The first game that I will be reviewing is SNK/Playmore's Metal Slug 7. General Donald Morden is at it again, trying to take over the world. It's up to Marco and his team of soldiers to put an end to his scheme, but they're not alone. Joining them in battle is two members of the Ikari Warriors team from King of Fighters, Ralf Jones and Clark Still.

This port is totally different from the ones I'm used to playing. Instead of just diving right into game play, you must first choose your difficulty then you get to select which stage you want to start of on. As the game progresses with the four original cast members, standard game play applies, meaning one shot and you're dead. This doesn't apply to Ralf and Clark, which I'm guessing is due to all the battles they've had against N.E.S.T.S. For them, they actually get two hits before they go down making them ideal choices. Also players will notice that there isn't the normal continues. You're now only allowed four, which for me is pretty cool because it kind of gives you that arcade feel of running out of tokens but adding a degree of difficulty to the game. Not a major difficulty, but something that makes you better.

As you go through the game, you have to rescue P.O.W.s on each stage. Each stage has a certain amount of them on each one. Feel that you didn't find enough? Well now you can check to see. MS7 lets you check to see how many P.O.W.s you have and need to save for each level allowing you to pleasure your inner OCD-ness. Includes are some new slugs to go with the ones you've seen before like the Slug Truck and Slug Gigant that has a lot of firepower to player with.

The final feature of this game is the practice mode. Each has its own mode for you to go through, each with its own time limit. Depending on how fast you go through it, will determine you score, and hopefully, after some time, you'll become a better player.

Metal Slug games have never been about big graphics. They went 3d in a game and it was a horrible failure. The 2d sprites are always a joy to look at with the little animations for each character as they die. I'm not one of old school asshole gamers that think everything 3d sucks, but going 2d is a nice change of pace.

This is a great game if you're fan of the series you will want to buy it. Fun gameplay and fucking challenging as hell equate for a very entertaining game. . Well folks, that's it for me. Stay tuned each week, for there will be a new game reviewed, and more exploits about my love for penis.
