Gamestop has listed the memory cards for the PS Vita with some gamers beginning to rage over the prices Starting at $29.99 for 4GB, these memory cards are required for game saves, movies, music, downloads, and pretty much everything that needs to be stored for the PS Vita. Prices then go up from there with the max size card being 32GB for $119.99, reminding me of how the Sony memory sticks were priced when the PSP came out. Here’s a listing of the prices and sizes:
- 4GB: $29.99
- 8GB: $44.99
- 16GB: $69.99
- 32GB: $119.99
Now I don’t have a problem with memory cards being used for a system, but considering that the memory sticks are still a viable option and SD cards are so common now, it’s a bitter pill to swallow when a new storage format is created solely for the PS Vita. I'm sure prices will drop after awhile, but not the best movie by Sony.
