To be completely honest I know nothing about the series that this new re-boot/re-make game is drawing its inspiration from. EA and Starbreeze (Escape from Butcher Bay, The Darkness) are teaming up for this one and have released a trailer for it:

At first glance it looks a bit like Deus Ex: Human Revolution only a bit more white-ish blue. While some will write it off as a rip off or a betrayal of the original game's real time tatcical isometric roots, I think I see where Starbreeze is going with it. The surprise is that the game has just been announced and will be getting a release date of February 2012.
